Well there goes my three day posting streak. Oh well. Today I will talk about the season I like best.
I'd probably have to go with winter, honestly. It might not be the most common choice, and I do complain about it a lot, but it the end I really do love winter. I like all my childish memories of sledding, building forts, making snowmen, having snowball fights, even just making snow angels. I like how it covers everything in a huge fluffy white blanket. I like pretending to be a dragon when my breath makes little puff clouds. I like bundling up to go out and having hot chocolate when I return. I like the frost gardens that stretch across all the windows in my house. I like looking for the biggest icicle on my house and knocking it off with a snowball. I like wearing big sweaters and curling up with a book or something inside. I like the Christmas holidays. I like skating. I like looking at individual snowflakes.
There's a lot of things I like about winter, and that's why it's my favourite season.

Where in the World
Five places that I want to visit.
1) Ireland (and England since it's right next door)
I've wanted to go to Ireland for a while now, probably since I did a school project on it in like grade five or something. It just seems like such a pretty place. The fact that I like folklore and mythology may also play a part in my choice. Also the Irish accent is my favourite accent. I've been to London, England once before and I would love to go back and see more of England as well.
2) Japan
Call me a weeaboo if you like, but I would love to go to Japan some day. I'd love to see some cherry blossoms, a shinto temple, and yes... bask in the manga/anime glory that is Akihabara. After I learn some Japanese that is.
3) Australia and New Zealand
It's pretty expensive to fly half way around the world so unless I'm rich in the future I'd probably do these in one go like Ireland and England. I want to see kangaroos, hug one if possible. It would also be cool to go scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef. And go see visit the Sydney Opera House. Not exactly sure what to do in New Zealand because I haven't researched it as much as other places, but I know I want to go there, it seems really nice.
4) Finland
I'm part Finnish and I apparently have a lot of relatives in Finland so it would be nice to go there some day. It seems like a very pretty place, I'd like to have some traditional Finnish experiences there I think. If only I knew how to speak Finnish.... it'll go right after Japanese I suppose.
5) Egypt
Though I'm not necessarily one that enjoys scorching hot weather, this is a must see. To go and see the pyramids, to be somewhere so old, it would just be amazing. I'd also love to ride a camel.

Doctor, Doctor!
So, luckily, I remembered to do this today. Today's subject is a TV show that I have become addicted to. That would of course be Doctor Who. I actually started watching it back in maybe 2005 or something when it was the Ninth Doctor, Christopher Eccleston. It was on cable during the Ninth and most (all?) of the Tenth Doctor's episodes and I thought it was really interesting. I had never seen a show like it before and was instantly hooked. However once they took it off cable I didn't see any more of it until this year. My best friend got hooked on the series and started watching all the episodes from Eccleston onwards so I did as well. I'm all caught up now and I can't wait for more.
First Doctor: Christopher Eccleston
Favourite Doctor: David Tennant
Favourite Companion: Rose Tyler
Other loved characters: K-9, Rory Williams, Jack Harkness, Dalek Sec, and of course Matt Smith
Yup, I love Tennant the most as the Doctor. Matt Smith is alright, I just prefer Tennant. I also prefer Rose over Amy because.... well Amy rubs me the wrong way sometimes, and she feels more needy in my opinion. I really love K-9. He's just the cutest, I'd love to have one for myself. And Rory. The last centurion. Amy is luck to have him, let me tell you that.
It would be amazing to be able to travel anywhere or anywhen that you wanted in an awesome blue police box. It's part of what makes me love the show so much.

30 Day Challenge
So it's been a long time again. I stumbled across an interesting idea while looking at some tumblrs and I decided that to try to get back on schedule with my blog I'm going to try it out. Also because I failed at keeping with NaNoWriMo this year again. I'm horrible at sticking with things like this so hopefully this will go well. So yeah I'll be posting everyday for thirty days and we'll see how it goes. If I like it maybe it will become something longer.
First of all I'll start with something that I've been meaning to address for a while (and I haven't already, hopefully.... I can't really remember....). The meaning behind my blog name. Lonely Daisy. As you might already know my name isn't Daisy, and I like to think that I'm not lonely.
The name actually comes from my pet cat. Her name is Daisy, she's really old, a little cranky and I absolutely adore her. She gets left alone at home all day while my family is at work/school so I feel bad for her. And yeah, that's basically it. My blog is named after my cat..... maybe I am a little more lonely than I thought, hahaha.

Canada Day Thoughts
Being born and living in Canada all my life I realise that I take many things in life for granted. I have so much freedom here to do and say as I please that I find it really hard to imagine any other sort of way of life. But the reality is that there are many places in the world where people aren't as lucky as me. There are people who have to be in a certain religion, who have to cover their faces or dress a certain way, who cannot voice their opinions and who live in fear of harm or even death if they do not follow specific rules. Thinking about all that makes me sad. I wish that people everywhere could have the freedom that I do because I'm sure the world would be a much better place because of it.

Update
So school is over now, thankfully. The weather has been not bad so far, even though it did rain for a bit. I've just been relaxing here and lazing around with not much to do, but so I'll be off to Ottawa to see my sister and pick up our new car. And it's time to kick my butt into action so I don't waste this whole summer like I did the last two. The sad part is that I think I probably get more done during the school year when I'm putting off doing homework and stuff than when I have tons of free time in the summer.
My blog collaboration has started up this week. It's called A Week of Awesome. I'll be posting on Fridays and I'm sure there will be some awesome stuff on there so feel free to check it out.
Also only like 16 days until the last Harry Potter movie comes out.... I really need to buy my tickets for that before they're sold out or something. And on the note of buying things, my dad got me a Chapters card so even though I have like no spending money at the moment I can still buy books! *cheers!*
I started watching Doctor Who again, as well. I watched the new seasons with Matt Smith doctor and they were really good. I actually really like how Matt Smith portrays the doctor, but David Tennant will always have a bigger place in my heart. So apologies go out to Dee because I was teasing her earlier for watching that show. And actually make that extra apologies because I realized the usefulness of sticky tack and I was always telling her that it wasn't useful at all (this is not related to Doctor Who at all, btw).
P.S. Made a curry pork omlette this morning from leftovers and it was surprisingly good. Almost as good as that taco omlette I made sometime ago.

Creative Collab
School is almost over now (thank God), only exams left to do. And as school winds down I am progressively getting more and more lazy. Unlike last year though, I will not be sitting around all day doing nothing, I'm going to be in Ottawa for awhile visiting my sis. I'm also hoping to spend a good part of the summer swimming in my river and relaxing in the sun.
Another project I will be taking on is a collab blog with some fellow nerdfighters. That means that I will be sharing a blog with 6 other people. We're all going to post on one assigned day of the week and slowly get to know each other hopefully. And I linked above to the blog, but we aren't starting until July so it probably won't look very good right away. Bare with me on this one.
