I'll just come out and say it right now, this is a rant, leave if you wish, but I need to get this all out.
I have had a horrible day today and that just reinforces that old cliche that Mondays are a drag and nobody likes them. I was so tired this morning I didn't want to get up at all and I ended up sleeping in too late so I couldn't have my shower, now I have to take one this evening instead. Granted this next one was my fault for being lazy earlier, but I still want to put it out there. I didn't have my usual good clothes to wear because I forgot to do laundry this weekend so this morning I just threw on whatever I could find that was still clean.
At school we had to do reading out loud in my parenting class (I hate reading out loud or doing anything infront of other people for that matter). My math class is being a bitch, we keep getting more and more work everyday so you can't relax at all or you'll fall behind. Then at lunch we had a yearbook committee meeting in which the teacher in charge spazzed out at us because the deadline is coming up soon and we're not done the required amount of pages yet. It's not our fault that there's only 3 fucking people on the committee, give us a break will you?
For third period I had to be in the library so I could use the computer because the school board is technologically challenged so they haven't given us wireless internet yet. Anyways some stupid grade 9 or 10 class was in the library that period and they wouldn't shut up the entire time! I mean, hello, this is a library! The only thing that got me through the whole ordeal was my ipod. Thank god for ipods. Fourth period wasn't bad, we just had to watch a stupid safety video and write some notes.
So here I am now sitting at home writing this. I just finished eating a rather large brownie, don't judge, I like chocolate and it makes me feel better when I'm in a nastier sort of mood like I am now. I'm not looking tonight or tomorrow, I have a very long to-do list and to top it off tomorrow I have to sell candy-o-grams at school and help out with the elementary school snack program (probably alone because the stupid adult I'm supposed to be working with never shows up so I usually spend twice the amount of time doing it then what it normally takes when you have a partner).
So yeah, not one of the best days in my life... maybe my crabbiness has something to do with Valentine's Day. I kind of doubt it though because for the most part I don't mind the holiday, I think it's cute and romantic. A better guess would probably be that I just need more sleep, I hate it when I miss sleep. Hopefully the next time I post I'll be in a better mood.

Update
Well exams for first semester are finally over, thank god. Second semester starts tomorrow because they only gave us one day off to relax. It shouldn't be all that bad though, my classes are not bad: parenting, math, introduction to anthropology, psychology, and sociology, and biology. I'm pretty psyched for my third period class because it's an independant learning course that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to get at my high school. I didn't really want to take parenting, but there was nothing else available for first period that I wanted so I thought it would just be an easy credit. My mom is the teacher for biology so I'm not sure how that will go, I've never been taught by her so far. It'll probably be fine.
Anyways, I don't think I have anything else to say for now. Bye!
Listening to: Collect Call -Metric
Currently reading: The Secret of Dragonhome by John Peel (for the 4th time)

I Can Dream
Okay, so it's nothing official yet, seeing as I only found out about it a couple days ago, but I may have found the adventure I've been looking for. My mom is the guidance counsellor at my high school so she gets a lot of brochures and things promoting different schools or activities students can go to. Recently she got one about volunteering internationally during the summer. It's called Projects Abroad and I recommend checking out the site. There are a wide variety of things you could get into such as child care, community building, medical studies, archeology, journalism and my favourite: animal conservation! I looked through all the options and right now I'm deciding between going to Mexico for 2 weeks to help turtles hatch and make it into the sea, all the while getting daily spanish lessons or going for 2 weeks in Thailand to go diving and help with marine conservation. Both seem really really fun and exciting. I told my parents I wanted to go so they're considering it. It is quite a bit of money so I'll definitely have to chip in, but I think it would be worth it. I really want to do this, not just to go see an awesome new country, but to help out the animals as well. If you're interesting in helping out they're always looking for more volunteers and you can go any time you want, you just have to plan the date and location!
Adios amigos!
P.S. I've been having a really awesome day, so I decided to pass it along: DFTBA!!!

Guess Who's Back
So, haven't been on here in a while.... my apologies. I'd like to say I have some excuse for my disappearance, but other than me being lazy I have nothing. I don't really have all that much to talk about. Exams are coming up and I have 4 fairly difficult classes to study for so that'll keep me busy for most of next week.
I think I've developed a new addiction to horror/thriller movies because over the past 3 months I've watched.... a lot. I'm not quite sure where this came from, most of the time I hate horror movies because they scare me and gross me out. Maybe I desensitized myself to them... or something.
On a completely different note the weather here has been pretty freezing cold. Theres at least a couple feet of snow on the ground and temperatures around -30 degrees celcius or colder. I like it mostly because it means my parents can't complain to me about not being outside. And I sounded like such a hermit there didn't I. Well, there really isn't all that much to do where I live anyways so I guess it wasn't extremely bad, from my perspective anyway.
But anywho I have studying and stuff to do so hopefully I'll be back soon!

Fangirl Moment!
So if you haven't already heard (I don't know how you wouldn't, probably have to live under a rock or something) the new Harry Potter movie is coming out this weekend, Friday the 19th to be exact. It's the first part of the final book and I've been super excited for it to come out since like... like after I saw the one before it. Here's a trailer for the movie if you haven't seen one yet.
Anyways, about my title. Well I found out I'll be in the city for Friday and D and I managed to buy some tickets online for the show. I have no doubt this is going to be flippin awesome!!! I am so excited I can barely wait for Friday to get here already so we can go!
My all time favourite character from the books/movies is Ron Weasley. He's just so funny and awkward and... well to put it bluntly, he's hot. I plan on soaking up enough of his amazingness to last me until July when the second part will be coming out. Other characters worth mentioning: Dobby, Fred and George, Luna, Neville, Hagrid, Hedwig, Professor Mcgonagall, Tonks, and Remus. There are more, but I don't want to list them forever.
Only thing about this is I'll probably end up crying in the theatre again (yes again, Up and Dear John were really sad movies!) because I cried while reading the books, and I get really into movies emotionally. *note to self: bring tissues* Also it's probably gonna be super packed, it is after all the opening day and it's the weekend, so I'll definitely have to get to the auditorium like 30 minutes early, maybe more.
Hope everyone has good weekends!

Oops, hehehe....
Yeah, so I haven't been writing here.... mostly because I suck at sticking with the things that I'm doing. Sorry. I don't think that I really want to write about myself so much right now so I'm going to try something a little different.
Just this past weekend I ended up watching somewhere around 15 movies. They were mostly horrors and thrillers of varying quality. I'm going to review a couple of them and rate them out of 10, if I like doing this I might just make it a more regular thing.
First up we have Tormented (2009). Over all it was a fairly good movie, it had a plot I felt was fairly original, but also relatable. It takes place in a highschool with the classic "popular" kids and the more conservative goodie-two-shoes girl who gets mixed up with them and a ghost. The filming was fine, in some places the acting seemed fake and the ghost wasn't really to my liking, as the people could actually touch it. I won't say too much about it so as to not ruin the movie if you would like to see it. Also be warned there are a couple bloody scenes, but that's to be expected in a horror I suppose. Rating: 5/10
Next we'll look at Eden Lake (2008). I really enjoyed this movie is a sick sort of twisted way. The story revolves around a couple staying at Eden Lake getting tormented by a group (or should I say gang?) of kids. This movie really got my adrenaline pumping, it had a lot of suspense and a good amount of gore. I think the thing I liked the most about this was that it is completely possible to get in the same situation if you happened to cross the wrong group of people. The ending was really good, but a little bit expected, not that it took anything away from the movie as a whole. Rating: 7/10
Finally I'll review Drag me to Hell (2009). I couldn't resist talking about this one for the soul reason that it sucked so much. The storyline was at best: stupid, the acting seemed really fake and the movie wasn't scary at all. The only part I flinched at was when the main girl got thrown up on by an old lady and when the main girl killed her cat (I really love animals). I did feel slightly sorry for the main girl's boyfriend, but really the girl got what she deserved throughout the movie. Rating: 2/10

Rant
I wasn't planning on making a post today, but I really need to vent.
First of all I just finished watching an episode of True Blood. I don't want to give anything away, but it's about vampires and a telepathic girl and a bunch of other crazy things. If you're interested in the show I won't say anything important besides the fact that it's really, really good. Be warned though, there is swearing, nudity, and some blood and gore. Anyways, the reason I wanted to rant about that is because one of my favourite characters dies in it. We actually two of my favourite characters die and that sucks. I always like the characters that end up dying. :(
And it gets worse. On top of that I'm totally getting sick. It's probably from taking a walk on the weekend down the rail road tracks. But anyways, I feel like total crap. My throat is sore, I feel really tired and I keep getting headaches.
Finally, today I was blasted in chemistry about not finishing my homework because a unit test is coming up in a few days. And guess what I did today? I forgot my chemistry review at school. I feel so stupid I want to punch myself in the face or something. I do have some time to get it done tomorrow, but my work is going to be rushed and I hate rushing my work.
Oh, and this is less important, but I forgot my ipod at home today as well. I had to spend the whole bus ride home listening to some smoker talk about how many times he's gotten high. It was super annoying because I had charged my ipod the whole night before specifically so I could use my ipod the whole next week. Anyways thanks for listening to me unload my crap.
Cheers!
